(Re) established social structures, rituals and traditions in community life

A stable community, a sense of connectedness with traditions, and possibilities for emotional outlet in cultural activities, are conducive to children’s psychosocial development. Conflict can destroy social fabric and support-structures in communities. Children need to develop their (cultural) identity, and (re) gain a sense of trust and belonging within the community.
War Child supports the (re-) establishment of social support structures for children and cultural rituals and traditions that bind communities.
