Lobby and campaigning activities are undertaken to contribute to structural changes in the policies, laws, beliefs and practices that affect children and young people’s lives.

Examples include meetings with community leaders and law enforcers; supporting national and international networks and alliances promoting child protection in (post) conflict-affected areas and monitoring rights violations. These activities are carried out from War Child’s field locations and from Head Office from where the Dutch Government and European institutions are accessed. The ultimate objective of these activities is to have a positive impact on the lives of children.
