Increased capacity of (para) professionals to support children’s psychosocial development
Bookmark and Share
The support of (para) professionals is instrumental in identifying and preventing psychosocial problems. They also play a key role in assisting children to become more resilient. In conflict situations, professional development of (para) professionals is generally hampered and educational opportunities are limited. They often experience a lack of knowledge both on recognizing children’s psychosocial needs/problems and on how to deal with those needs/problems.
War Child assumes the responsibility to build (upon) local capacity and share knowledge on psychosocial development of children with local (para) professionals, (re-) enforcing their signaling and acting potential.
