War Child and The Silent Army
War Child was involved in the production of the film from the very beginning. On the basis of our work with former child soldiers and other children affected by war, War Child played a key advisorial role in developing a script that was as authentic as possible.

Real life stories
There are 250,000 children being forced into child soldiery worldwide. Every week, War Child helps 15,000 of these chidlren through psychosocial play, creative programmes and education. Below you can watch two clips containing real stories from real children - former child soldiers who have been through our programmes - who have served as inspiration for the film.
