War Child in Colombia
Following an exploratory mission in Colombia in 2005, War Child Holland decided to open a representation office in the capital, Bogota. We opened a call for project proposals, and established partnerships with local organisations which share the same goal of providing psychosocial support to children and youth in conflict areas while using creative methods. In 2008,
War Child supports (financially and technically) 7 local NGO´s that are dedicated to the improvement of the psychosocial well-being of children and youth affected by the internal conflict in Colombia. Primarily in the following regions: Cundinamarca, Risaralda, Choco, Arauca, Putumayo, Norte de Santander, Cauca y Norte del Cauca.
