War Child In DR Congo
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, War Child focuses on the improvement of psychosocial well-being and access to education for the vulnerable and marginalised children and youth in the city of Bukavu (in the South Kivu province) and within two rural communities outside of Bukavu. War Child supports local partner organisations as well as schools. They work with different groups of vulnerable children, including ex-child soldiers, orphans, street children, children accused of witchcraft, victims of sexual violence and children who have been incarcerated. With the support of War Child, these organisations and schools are in a better position to offer improved education and psychosocial support.
