Meet Ghaith (11)

The ongoing political and economic crisis, on top of COVID-19, has left more than 1.2 million children out of school in Lebanon. Gaith is living with a disability, making his chances of entering the classroom even slimmer. Find out how he is going against the odds...

"My hearing is improving little by little. I hope one day I can speak and study like my peers."

What we do

War Child is active across all governates of Lebanon. We are currently in more than 40 locations - including the most vulnerable areas of the country.

All children deserve the same opportunities in life. That’s why our psychosocial support, education and protection projects see us work with Syrian and Palestinian refugee families as well as host communities. We also strive to boost the inclusion of children with disabilities.

We partner with local NGOs and grassroots organisations to co-create our projects and strengthen their capacity. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible through our programming - especially parents and caregivers.
