What we do
Active in Sweden since 2016, we primarily work on fundraising for our international programmes together with a vibrant network of partners. In Sweden itself, we collaborate with refugee and displaced youth to enhance their wellbeing. Our psychosocial support programme focuses on the inclusion of communities who would otherwise be excluded.
For children to recover from war, their fundamental rights must be upheld - including the right to a healthy mind. We engage with key mental health networks, governments and policymakers across Sweden as well as civil society to ensure this reflects reality.
Our empowerment work in Lebanon and Uganda sees local people trained to provide vital psychosocial support in the immediate aftermath of crisis.

WAR CHILD PROJECTS
Naturkraft: Nature Force
Nature Force (Naturkraft) is a psychosocial support project that offers an opportunity for new arrivals in Sweden to explore and learn about Swedish nature. By getting out into nature, youth affected by conflict can begin to process the effects of war and flight.
Att leva i Sverige
Living in Sweden (Att leva i Sverige) is a method to help young refugees get to grips with and increase their knowledge on Swedish society. Delivered in partnership with Swedish NGO and youth organisation Fryshuset.
Together, a project with SCANIA
Södertälje, Stockholm County
This unique collaboration with the Södertälje municipality and Swedish logistics giant Scania provides refugee youth with mentors and a training course to connect them to work and boost their self-confidence.
Multiple Locations in Sweden
This project helps refugee students subject to Sweden's new Upper Secondary School Act to create a positive future for themselves after they graduate. We support them to find jobs and pair them up with professional mentors to explore their passions and fully prepare them for working life.
We Can Do IT!
This project is a collaborative project with IBM Sweden, aiming to empower and inspire young women and girls who have faced the brunt of war and displacement by equipping them with essential IT skills.
