The DEALs

The DEALS are a theme-based workshop cycle to improve children and young people’s psychosocial wellbeing through life skills training.

The DEALS are a set of comprehensive psychosocial activities designed to build resilience of children and young people and improve coping skills to better ‘deal’ with the challenges of every day life. The DEALS combine creative activities and games with group discussions and home assignments.

Each DEAL is a life skills intervention that has been developed to address the specific challenges faced by the different target groups. For each module a set of goals is identified, all linked to the three domains of psychosocial wellbeing as identified by UNICEF (2009): ‘skills and knowledge’, ‘emotional wellbeing’ and ‘social wellbeing’.

The DEALS now consist of 5 different interventions designed for 5 different groups:

Tools for facilitators
