INCLUDE project

The INCLUDE project sees Save the Children, War Child Holland, the Norwegian Refugee Council and Finn Church Aid come together to respond to the education needs of out-of-school children.

Project activities target children from both refugee and host communities who have missed out on formal schooling and are designed to assist their potential reintegration into the national education system.

An Accelerated Education Programme (AEP) forms the core of the project activities. This AEP utilises a specially adapted curriculum that covers two to three grades of primary education in a single year. Teaching approaches within the AEP are carefully designed to match the students’ level of cognitive maturity.

The project will also see War Child Holland roll out two of its flagship programmes. TeamUp - a programme of structured recreational activities - will provide psychosocial support to 9,350 participating children. Can’t Wait to Learn (CWTL) - our innovative e-learning programme - will reach 2,100 children with mathematics and literacy components.
