Yalla Peace

This project aims at promoting social cohesion between Lebanese host communities and Syrian refugees in ten state schools or communities.

This project gives 300 children and young people tools to address and prevent conflict and transform them into agents of change. Children and young people develop theatre performances designed to raise awareness about conflict in their communities.

They also participate in the creative and artistic life skills intervention, using clay art and Peace DEAL methodology, where they learn to deal with their emotions, build positive relationships and improve their negotiation and non-violent communication skills. The youth will spread the messages of peace and social cohesion through implementing 20 Peace Action Plans that will target at least 2000 community members.

Location: Beirut and Mount Lebanon.

Implementing partners: state schools and Zoukak Theater Company

Funding partner: Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
